A Horn & Hardart Automat was once here. The New York Times, 1/29/12, at p. RE 7, said it was designed in 1930 by Louis Allen Abramson, a departure for Horn & Hardart, who had stuck faithfully for a decade with F.P. Platt, a store specialist. The Times reports that it was taken over by Burger King in 1975 and the facade was covered over. The Times says that it is now Peep 25 Cents World and that there may still be some of the original facade under the new one.
