This African-American Church was the center of the neighborhood until about a hundred years ago, and now lies in rubble. According to an article about people working to preserve it, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 10/16/16, at pp. B1, 9, Its cemetery was the resting place of at least 80 people, including several Civil War veterans. There is a little bit about it on the Web; Google the church name and Bacton Hill Road.
