The first NFL draft was held here, Feb. 8-9, 1936, when it was the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. I looked at the Philadelphia Inquirer for those two dates, and found no mention of it. I found it on 2/10/36, see https://www.newspapers.com/image/174533367/.
