Famous Door - Historic New Orleans Jazz Club

According to New Orleans Jazz History Walking Tours, #4, Central Vieux Carre, this bar has featured jazz for over half a century. Sharkey Bonano was a fixture for years and the Dukes of Dixieland, the Basin St. Six, and Roy Liberto and Santo Pecora's bands also held forth for long runs. I saw on the Web that Harry Connick, Jr., started singing here as a teenager.
