Harry Chapin had a popular novelty song in 1974 about a truck carrying 30,000 pounds of bananas crashing. Unfortunately, it was about a real incident that tragically claimed the life of its driver, Eugene P. Sesky. Mr. Sesky was a hero whose efforts saved lives as he tried to control the runaway truck, and he left behind a family. Google his name and you will find much about him. He had lived at this location. The crash was at the South West corner of Moosic St. and South Irving Avenue in Scranton.
