The diner on the Hall & Oates Abandoned Luncheonette 1973 album cover, the Rosedale Diner, originated at Rosedale Drive and East High Street in Pottstown (the original location is also on Cyber Plaque). Customers included Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, who appeared at the nearby Sunnybrook Ballroom (also on Cyber Plaque). The diner was manufactured by Fodero in 1951. It was moved by its owner (Bill Faulks) to a lot that is now the entrance to Towpath Park at 1675 Schuylkill Road (Route 724) in Pottstown, which is where it was photographed. The owner, the man on Route 724 referenced on the album cover, also owned the Pizza World restaurant across the street, which still stands, abandoned. The diner eventually was destroyed in a controlled burn by the local fire company, and sent to salvage. Remnants are said to still be around the site.
