Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed here in a 40th birthday celebration party for Bruce on 9/23/89. The highlight was a rollicking version of Glory Days. This information is from Bruce, by Peter Ames Carlin, at pp. 353-354. I see on the Web that the original building was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, and was replaced by a new one, and that Bruce had sat in with at least one local band here; also, Jon Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes had performed here.
