I've long thought that Hominy Grill in Charleston, SC, was the best breakfast place there is. But on a ski trip to Smugglers Notch, we tried this legendary place that is on the drive in to Smuggs. It is fabulous. A menu is at http://www.themixcafevt.com/, but the dish I had today is not listed on it, i.e., the duck confit with overeasy egg and home fries. Delicious! There was also a nice art show on the walls featuring the paintings of Harlan Mack.
