Artemis, a night club run by famed impresario David Carroll, was here in the early 1970s. Members of Cheap Trick and Nazz had worked here, and Billy Joel and David Bowie hung out there, see http://citypaper.net/articles/2002-10-17/cover3.shtml. I recall that David Bowie had an after-concert party there on the night he played the Spectrum.
