The courtroom scenes for the Dain Curse, the 1987 TV mini-series based on the Dashiell Hammett novel and starring James Coburn, were filmed here. The room had been a district court from 1937 to about 1970, and was largely unused until it became the courtroom of U.S. District Court judge, the Hon. Franklin S. Van Antwerpen, from 1988 to 1990. Judge Van Antwerpen then moved his courtroom to the new 101 Larry Holmes building around the corner from the post office, developed by boxing great and Easton resident Larry Holmes.
