Famed wood craftsman/artist/architect, the late George Nakashima, and his daughter, Mira, stored wood here for use in their New Hope design studios. I learned of this while taking the tour of the Aquetong Road complex of the Nakashimas in New Hope, PA, last week, in a guided tour by Mira Nakashima. I believe from what I remember that wood was stored here through the Donald Thompson era of the company; for company history see http://thompsonmahogany.com/about-us/history/. Afterward, the Nakashima studios had to store wood on premises, for which they built a barn. There are articles mentioning the relationship of Thompson and Nakashima on the Web.
