Pit-Catcher Lanes was here.

A bowling alley with dairy bar was here, owned by former Philadelphia Phillies Bobby Shantz, a pitcher, and Joe Astroth, a catcher. This information is courtesy of Susan Abramson of the Doylestown Historical Society, Bucks County Herald, 8/6/15 at p. A10 (the dairy bar part I found on the Web; looking online, it appears that the dairy bar may have been a separate building). There is quite a bit about it on the Web, including pictures of the abandoned building with a really cool clock above the front doors. The photo in the Herald is circa 1965.
