Late on the evening of 11/24/74, Bruce Springsteen got off the bus from Asbury Park, NJ, here to meet DJ Ed Sciaky and his wife Judy for a ride to Sigma Sound Studios (212 N. 12th St.) to meet David Bowie. Bowie and Springsteen were interested in each other because Bowie was recording Springsteen's It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City. They met early the next morning, but Springsteen left before hearing his song. Google - Sigma Sound Bowie Springsteen - and you will find recounts of the evening.

Comments : //www.philly.com/philly/blogs/entertainment/music_nightlife/Bruce-Springsteen-delivers-Rebel-Rebel-tribute-to-David-Bowie-in-Pittsburgh.html. Bruce Springsteen said Greyhound on stage before playing Rebel Rebel as a David Bowie tribute, but I think he means Trailways, as you will find references on the Web to Springsteen taking the nine oclock Trailways bus. (At the time, Trailways and Greyhound each had its own terminals in Center City Philadelphia.)
