Quakertown Farmers Market, aka QMart, is one of those old-time farmers markets/ bazaars/ flea markets that are so interesting. My 77-yr-old mom used to go to it when she was a kid (before a fire and a rebuild). The Just Stuff novelty store has an alligator habitat in the back of it, where Wally Gator, who is about 7-8 feet long, lives. Kids love him. Comments : There is a good cover story in the Courier News Weekly for 6/12/13 on the history of the Quakertown Farmers Market. Something I found interesting was The building was 1200 feet long when fire struck again in 1960, but it was rebuilt with a sprinkler system, and air conditioned with equipment from the old Willow Grove Amusement Park. That is a nice reuse.
