Comments : In an article, Bringing Bebop Back Home, in the New York Times on 10/9/14 at p. Metro 2, it says that this place was called Tillies Chicken Shack and, later, Monettes Supper Club, where, legend has it, the record producer John Hammond first heard a 17-year-old Billie Holiday.
