Rosalie Avenue, which is probably considered to be in the Eddington portion of what was once largely called Cornwells Heights but is now largely known as Bensalem Township, was developed by the Sarandrea family. They had farm land which they developed for housing. They owned the Esso station that was on the corner of Hulmeville Road and Cornwells Avenue, nearby, and lived next door to the station. Those buildings are still there. Rosalie was the lady of the house.
