The AMC 309 Cinema neon sign is an example of moderne splendor! This gem of 1960s roadside vernacular commercial architecture welcomes travelers from Philadelphia going North on Route 309 to Montgomery County. Its shapes nicely match those painted on the wall of the 309 Cinema building. This was also the site of the 309 Drive-In until 1984. This writer does not know whether the existing sign was in use for the Drive-In. It did once have a signboard under what is there now that listed the movies that were showing.
