Lansdale Airport was here, until the 1950s. The first transcontinental charter flight, from Camden, NJ, to Glendale, CA, in 1934 stopped here. C47 military planes were converted to civilian use here after World War II. This information is from The Reporter (Lansdale, PA), 8/27/08, at p. E7. (Some people mix this site up with the nearby Montgomeryville Airport, which is now the Airport Square Shopping Center.)
