Comments : 309 and 311 South Broad are going to be demolished to make way for an SLS Hotel, a project of developer Carl E. Dranoff, according to an article in yesterdays Philadelphia Inquirer, at A1, A7. I have not heard of any preservation activists saying anything about this announcement. There have been plenty of news reports, and most say that Philadelphia International experienced a bad fire a couple of years ago that severely damaged the building.
