There was a streak of light across the sky on 12/9/65, terminating at this spot in Kecksburg, PA. The landing site was on Kuhn's (now Meteor) Road, just east of its intersection with Snively Road, between Snively and Ankney Hill Roads. There is quite a bit about the incident on the Web and it has been featured on many TV shows. Quite a few people believe it was a Soviet satellite that crashed, and the U.S. military quickly took possession of it. [All of my info came from the Web.]
