There may well be a race car buried in the back yard of this now vacant house. According to an article at http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2014/05/flemington_native_dad_buried_r.html, race car driver Firman Lawshe buried his car circa 1936 after his wife would no longer let him race. His daughter says it is family legend. The article mentions Doc MacKenzie, whose home is on Cyber Plaque (also see Langhorne Speedway on Cyber Plaque). Apparently, there is a move to preserve the home and property.
