A large, heavy ship scuttled between 1775 and 1798 was found during construction here at the beginning of 2016 (I don't have the exact date, but it was reported in early 1/16). Two months earlier a 1775 foundation for a warehouse was found. Also, several privies were found. Archaeologists are excited and working to preserve the finds. There are several stories about this on the Web, but I first saw it mentioned in Construction Equipment Guide, 1/27/16, at pp. 1, 28.
