Legendary Philly art/garage rock band Head Cheese had members who lived here, and in a way, it is mentioned in song. See the sleeve for the Jungle Jam single, which has the address. Also, I visited them once or twice as I was an acquaintance. There is a line in Jungle Jam that goes, 13th Street is a jungle/ It's a jungle where I live. And this is where they lived. I'm not sure whether the box 707 on the record cover refers to a post office box, or perhaps they lived on the seventh floor. There is a bit about Head Cheese on the Web, and some members are still together as the Book of Love band. There are a couple of postings of the Jungle Jam video on youtube. Worth checking out, and it has some downtown Philly (now called Center City) scenes.
