Now, from an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 4/13/14, beginning at p. C1, I know that it originates in Blommers. 50% of the cocoa beans in the U.S. are processed by Blommers, which has a few plants throughout the country. This plant in East Greenville processes 300 million pounds of chocolate ingredients a year. They say that chances are that any chocolate bar from any brand on a store shelf has chocolate that came from Blommers.
