The famed Philadelphia Toboggan Company, manufactuer of roller coasters and carousels, had its start here. It was located here from 1904 to 1922. The present photo from Google is actually across the street from the factory building. If you click through to the street view and use the arrow to go 180 degrees, you'll see the building.
