This was originally Strawberry Park, a patch of land named after a strawberry festival hosted there. From 1958 to 1972, the Lansdale Public Library building was here. That building then became the police station, until just recently, when it was razed for a parking lot and the police moved to 1 Vine Street (where a borough hall once stood).
