A collection of over 100 folk erotica figures, 7 tall, originated here, supposedly from a small shack on what was a clay pit. The shack was reportedly a church for strange healing rituals. Two of the pieces recently sold at a Rago Arts' auction in Lambertville, NJ, according to the Maine Antique Digest article by Lita Solis-Cohen, 2/18 at p. 23-A. She cites the seminal folk art sculpture tome, American Primitive (1988) by Ricco and Maresca. Just Google Woodbridge Center and you'll find a lot about the weird mysteries of the figures and their supposed magical powers. Also, there are articles at newspapers.com, ex., https://www.newspapers.com/image/238989976/?terms=woodbridge+figures.
