When this was the Liberty Bell Racetrack, there was a Police concert here. On August 22, 1981, the line-up was the Police, Specials [correction, Go-Go's, see comments- Editor], Oingo Boingo, and the Coasters. The promoters got nowhere near the attendance they expected. I know, because I was among the hired help who did not get paid because money was lost. But most of the workers did not mind, because we got to see a great concert for free.
